4K, or ultra-high definition, is changing the way we view video recording for forever.  With its crisp, concise pictures, enhanced resolution and image processing, this gaze into the future of video documentation is a step into time to come – only it’s coming now.

With Sony's back-illuminated Exmor R™ CMOS sensor, and driven by a Sony image processor, the FCB-ER8300 color block camera will amaze all who use it.

As a 4K color camera, image quality is increased to 4 times the resolution of 1080 Full HD (High Definition), and HDMI (digital) output, resulting in exceptionally pure, clear details. Delivering 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second (fps), the FCB-ER8300 has a 73.4 degree horizontal field of view, a 10mm working distance on the wide end to 800mm on the telephoto end, and a 12x Zoom. Utilizing this brilliant zoom capability, security and surveillance applications are improved, as specific details of faces and identifying features will no longer be guess-work - and this is what 4K video recording does best. While crucial in criminal identification and apprehension and license plate recognition, the camera’s benefits do not stop at law enforcement. Yes, security and industrial installations revel in this camera’s abilities, however, it is tremendously useful in video conferencing, medical, inspection, broadcasting and sports events. With two times the horizontal and vertical resolution of Full HD, 4K recording has stimulated live production video recording.
