The URSA is rich with qualities; a sizeable, operator controlled 10-inch 1080p flip-out display touchscreen monitor means you won’t have issues when shooting outdoors or in direct sunlight. The screen’s ultra-wide viewing angle allow the pan and tilt feature endless options, and utilizing the large screen eliminates the need for extra on-set equipment. Two, 5-inch monitors on each side of the camera put settings, controls and monitoring tools at your fingertips! The left monitor allows touchscreen access to all major settings, as well as a row of control buttons for settings, camera status and scopes. The right monitor displays multiple scenarios that include format, frame rate, shutter angle. Additional features are a prominent time code display,  animated histogram for checking levels,  scrolling audio waveform monitor with clipping indicators and a spectrum scope for checking and adjusting focus. The Blackmagic URSA 4K  production broadcast camera is user upgradeable, with changeable sensors and lens mount assemblies; it includes the amazing 4K Super 35 image sensor with global shutter and an EF lens mount with active lens control; URSA Broadcast, featuring a sensor optimized for Broadcast Video in Ultra HD, with a broadcast B4 lens mount and lens control connection, plus built in ND filter wheel; and the URSA PL lens mount includes the 4K Super 35 image sensor with global shutter and the film industry PL lens mount- perfect when you need to use feature film industry PL mount lenses! The additional URSA HDMI has an HDMI 4K input and mount plate for connecting any camera, such as DSLR cameras, to obtain better ProRes recording, monitoring, audio and time code than what is included on simple video or DSLR cameras! The camera records and outputs in the 2160p format, a 16:9 standard with four times the resolution of 1080p (Ultra High Definition).Equipped with dual built in recorders (two CFast card slots), where, when one card is filled, the second card can take over, and automatically continue to record. Now it is unnecessary to stop recording just to change media-especially practical when shooting a historical moment, an interview or news update, where interrupting the shoot could result in failing to catch that essential moment. Since this ultra HD camera was also designed for a large team, the workspace is divided into three distinct areas on the camera itself; the cinematographer (director of photography), the camera assistant and the audio engineer. The director of photography utilizes the 10-inch large fold-out on set monitor and a 5-inch screen for setting, camera status and scopes. The camera assist station includes a separate screen for camera settings, status and scopes, and the audio engineer’s workspace includes audio meters, controls and audio connections. Blackmagic URSA includes full DaVinci Resolve 11 software for Mac and Windows (including all advanced editing features, and a full multi-layer timeline with ripple, roll, slide, slip clip trimming, and title tools), and provides additional color correction features that allows the benefit of URSA’s high frame rate RAW recording capability, and amazing image quality. Featuring an active cooling system with a low noise fan, the URSA is able to attain higher frame rates, longer, while keeping the chassis cool. There is a mount for 15mm LWS-spaced rods built-in to the bottom of the camera, and with that, accessories such as follow focus and matte box (not included) can be added. This 4K cinematographic giant is 12.3 x 6.1 x 9.6 (31.2 x 15.5 x 24.4 cm) in size, is a lightweight 16.52 pounds, and has an entire film set of equipment built into one really portable design!
