Toshiba Teli Corporation announced today the upcoming release of two new "state of the art" single body high definition cameras with DVI Interface, the CSDW60CM28 and CSDS60CM3. [caption id="attachment_1894" align="alignright" width="215" caption="Toshiba Teli CSDW60CM28 Full HD Industrial Camera "][/caption] Released with an impressive array of features including not only DVI-I output, progressive scan, rolling electronic shutter and line generator (2 lines), these two cameras employ backside illumination technology to boost light sensitivity and absorption (allowing for the formation of finer image pixels) and have special control software to achieve the best possible imaging performance. The TTAI CSDS60CM3:
  • 1/3" CMOS HD (720p) color sensor
    • Switchable image sizes of 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 720 @ 60fps
  • 60 frames per second
  • Sensitivity: 4 (lx), F1.4
The TTAI CSDW60CM28:
  • 1/2.8" CMOS FULL HD (1080p) color sensor
    • SXGA (1920 x 1080) @ 60fps
  • 60 frames per second
  • Sensitivity: TBA
The ultra-fast DVI interface has a frame rate that is twice as fast as CameraLink®, four times as fast a Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) and eight times as fast as FireWire (S800) or USB 2.0 making either of these cameras ideal for challenging machine vision, aerospace/aeronautical, opthalmology, microscopy, endoscopy, LCD panel inspection and research & development applications. The CSDW60CM28 and CSDS60CM3 are scheduled to be released in June 2010 and can be purchased from a manufacturer's distributor.
