With excellence as it's main-stay, Computar Ganz® (division of CBC AMERICAS Corporation) has named Aegis Electronic Group, Inc. the recipient of their Computar Ganz®  Performance Award. This recognition comes from Aegis' ability to provide Computar® with client in-roads for their ever increasing varieties of products, which include megapixel HD lens, IP and analog cameras, highlight performance driven optics, and a variety of video management software. Aegis is able to integrate these products into their diverse client base in areas where having high quality optics is a must, including areas of medical, robotics, tele-medical, aerial, and security surveillance, and is honored to receive this award. We know that capturing the full resolution of a megapixel camera requires a superior lens. With an HD megapixel lens, precise focal adjustment, vibrant contrast and clear images even in low light conditions are the beautiful outcome. With a non-megapixel lens, picture distortion occurs throughout, particularly in the corners of the image. Thanks to the superior optic design of these new lenses, precise details in security applications can be recorded, resulting in detailed images in both center and corners of the image plane. Able to attain precise focus adjustments, these HD megapixel lens have a focus ring that rotates a full 180 degrees for improved fine-tuning.  Eight lenses in the 1.3-3 megapixel HD lens category have IR (Infra-Red) camera lens filter capability, and two in the HD megapixel zoom lens. Having an infra-red camera filter lens can improve scene features with extraordinary clarity and contrast, as the infrared range highlights details that would be hidden if shot in normal color. In the 1.3-3 Megapixel HD lens collection, there is variety in multiple areas. The superb quality CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) camera lens for the six “A” collection lenses are over 3 megapixel full HD format, have precise focus adjustment, 1/2.7 inch lens formats, F1.2 and F1.4 varifocal aperture, manual/DC Auto iris/Precise iris technology which support DC controlled cameras, aspherical high speed lens which improves image quality, and IR day/night corrected lens to optimize both visible and near IR spectrum (eliminates focus shifting), CS mount and focus lengths from 3.2-8mm and 12.5-50mm. Of the two “T” full HD format lenses, both have a aspherical CS lens mount and a F1.2 and F1.6 varifocal HD lens, 1/3 lens formats, Precise Focus Adjustment, but one has a manually operated iris, and the other has a DC iris, and one has a manual F1.2 varifocal iris, the other has an F1.6 DC auto iris. The two “M” lens only share their 2/3” lens format, C Mount and DC Auto-iris qualities.  One has a ½” lens format, while the other’s is 2/3”. Focal lengths vary from 25-135 mm, and 12-36mm, and their aperture settings are F1.8 and F2.8.  These megapixel HD lenses excel in the security and surveillance applications. Megapixel HD zoom lenses deliver greater image detail with a broader coverage than standard resolution cameras, and the seven lens in Computar®’s HD megapixel zoom lenses prove this. Of these seven lenses in the megapixel series, all have C mount, four have ½ inch lens format, one 2/3 and two lenses are 1/1.8. One of the lenses, the H10Z0819DC-MP is a 10X megapixel motorized zoom and focus lens, with a focal length of 8-80mm. It has a DC/video auto iris, 2/3 lens format, and a focal length of 8-80mm. MegaPixel zoom camera lenses have a greater resolution image sensor. With larger focal lengths (8-80 to 12.5-775mm or 25-1550 at 2 times), these zoom lenses are powerful options!  All have optional preset selection with apertures settings progressing from F1.6 to F3.5. Five of the lenses have DC/Video iris selections, with the remaining two lenses having manual/DC/Video/P-iris. Computar's greatly enlarged megapixel HD lens and HD megapixel zoom lenses continues their endeavor to providing perfect vision products. This global leader and world-class answer for security solutions continues to provide performance driven optics for diverse security solutions.
