Hitachi HD PTZ Series of video technology cameras bring Full HD (High Definition) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) selection and variety into the landscape of state-of-the-art cameras. With six cameras models forming this amazing series, the VZ-HD3600A; VZ-HD3650A; VZ-HD3700A; VZHD3780A; VZ-HD4000A, and VZ-HD4900A, choices are abundant. Suitable for recording, conferencing, net broadcasting, in houses of worship, classrooms and large venues, this camera series is up for any task. These six cameras present 32 preset remote control settings for PTZ using a remote control unit, and up to 127 presets positions using outside control via RS-232C or RS-422. The digital video interfaces accessible include 3G-SDi (VZ-HD4900A), HD-SDI (VZ-HD3650A, VZ-HD3700A, VZHD3780A, and VZ-HD4000A) and DVI-I (VZ-HD3600A, VZ-HD3700A, VZHD3780A and VZ-HD4900A).

Four of the cameras (VZ-HD3600A; VZ-HD3650A; VZ-HD3700A; and VZ-HD3780A), have several parallels. They are all housed in a black metallic body, for starters. Model VZHD3780A, while having a black metallic housing, is the
only camera to be specifically ceiling mounted, and the
only one with a +30° / -70° Vertical Pan/Tilt.
Let’s talk maximum sensor resolution for these six cameras: VZ-HD3600A (DVI-I output terminal) and VZ-HD3650A (HD-SDI) have 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50; models VZ-HD3700A and VZ-HD3780A’s maximum resolution is 1080i/59.94 (1080p/50 via DVI-I output terminal), and VZ-HD4000A’s is 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50 (HD-SDI) and modelVZ-HD4900A has a 1080p/59.94, 1080p/50 (3G-SDI, HD-SDI; DVI-I).
However, in this Hitachi HD PTZ Camera Series, it is the VZ-HD4000A and VZ-HD4900A models who are the break-away rebels, and stand out on their own. Unlike the four other styles, both of these are available in black
or white housings, and can be desk

or reverse mounted. Each has a separate maximum resolution, VZ-HD4000A with 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50 and the VZ-HD4900A with 1080p/59.94, 1080p/50.
Their optical lenses have increased to 25x Zoom, and their digital zoom to 300x, as well as their horizontal Pan/Tilt of ±175°.
