Utilizing the ability to capture crisp, clear Full High Definition (HD) images, these high resolution color block cameras are able to achieve superb picture quality, even when presented with low light conditions. With the progressive scan feature, the assurance of even pictures with reduced blur - perfect for capturing every detail in moving images – is achieved.

Sony FCB HD Block Cameras work in virtually any application

 The FCB-EV5300 (digital) model uses the latest 1/3 type Exmor™ CMOS image sensor with HD (1280 x 720) at 60 fps and 20x optical zoom (1.37 megapixel), while the FCB-EV7300 (digital/analog) and FCB-EV7310  (digital) models use the latest 1/2.8 type Exmor™ CMOS image sensor with Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 60 fps and 20x optical zoom (2.38 megapixel).  Now, Sony’s FCB-EV Series covers products from 10x to 30x, HD and Full-HD, with or without analog video output, allowing the right camera selection to be made according to each application’s particular and diverse needs. The FCB-EV5300 and FCB-EV7300 models have Wide-D (Wide Dynamic range) processing technology that provides the ability to see clear-detailed images in high-contrast or backlit situations, and the built-in image stabilizer counters the effects of shaky images caused by low-frequency vibration. With a digital LVDS interface, and easy access for IP and Gigabit Ethernet applications, the excellence of the camera’s video signal is preserved with minimal deterioration, and the direct connection with codecs/systems excludes the need for any supplemental components.  The importance of the internal temperature of the FCB-EV5300, FCB-EV7300 and FCB-EV7310 cameras can be read by means of the VISCA protocol, and when examining the internal temperature of the cameras, i.e., speed dome unit, it is possible to use this data to turn a fan or heater on or off inside the equipment when necessary. As far as sharing numerous, impressive features the FCB-EV5300, FCB-EV7300 and FCB-EV7310  models have:
  • HCL (High Light Compensation) which helps improve the visibility of license plates when bright headlights are shot under low-light conditions.  The bright parts in the image are masked and compensated for automatically, achieving better visibility.
  • Stable zoom: this built-in image stabilizer and optical/digital zoom are now combined to enhance picture quality while maintaining the original horizontal angle of view. This produces uncompromised, clear-detailed image size and a reduction in blurring.
  • Auto ICR (Auto IR-cut Filter Removal): in low light conditions, the camera automatically switches from Day to Night mode, removing the IR-cut filter to boost sensitivity for clear pictures in near-darkness.
  • Spherical Privacy Zone masking feature enables areas of view to be selectively masked for privacy.  Masked areas are automatically interlocked with the camera’s pan/tile/zoon movements.
  • Advanced noise reduction filters noise from the image for clearer results, especially in low-light conditions. Noise reduction can be selected from five levels appropriate to various operating environments.
  • In addition to the Auto White Balance mode, the cameras mode features include Indoor, Outdoor, and One-push WB, ATW, Manual Sodium Vapor Lamp.
  • The Visibility Enhancement feature makes the darker part of a camera image brighter, as well as automatically correcting brightness and contrast, showing bright parts clearly without overexposure.
  • The Defog Mode will make the image in a foggy and low contrast background appear clear, with its user-adjustable levels for the first time camera initialization.
