OMNI-IP ‘hands free’ Plug & Play surveillance system enables rugged security cameras to excel.
Upon startup, KT&C's
Plug & Play feature recognizes attached devices, adjusts the internal settings, and easily connects to the PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch to begin video streaming, thus allowing fast operation and easy camera repositioning. Achieving real time (30 frames per second) streaming at 1920x1080 (1080p)/1280x720 (720p), these IR (InfraRed) IP66 network cameras have a low light sensitivity of .07lux with true day/night ICR (Infrared Cut filter Removal) for best daytime color replication and greater light sensitivity. These dual PoE 12 VDC power supply surveillance cameras accomplish much more than just that, and with multiple camera designs, their outside appearance can be as varied as the applications they safeguard.

Of the seven IP Plug & Play camera styles in Korea Technology and Communication’s (KT&C) OMNI-IP system, three are IR bullet style: the
KNC-p3BR4IR (30 IR LED’s with a 100 foot range), the
KNC-p3BR4XIR (dual EXIR super beam LED’s with 164 foot range), both have lens options of 6mm, and 12mm for greater magnification, and the
KNC-P3BR28V12IR 2.8 mm lens with 42 IR LED 100 foot range. Two IK 10 vandal resistant dome cameras are available, the
KNC-P3DR28V12IR, (2.8mm lens, 24 IR LED with 66 foot range) with three lens options: 2.8mm, 6mm, and 12mm, and the
KNC-P3DR4IR (4mm lens, 30 LED with true day/night ICR) and is offered with 2.8mm and lens options. The turret style camera is the
KNC-P3TR4XIR, offers three lens options: 2.8mm, 4mm, and 6mm, and is a 4mm EXIR auto single beam LED 100 foot range. The low profile
KNC-P3LR4IR camera completes this line-up, is also IK 10 vandal resistant, has available lens options of 2.8mm, and 6mm, and with its 4mm lens has auto detection IR 10 LED of 33 feet.
Thanks to their ruged IP66 weather resistance rating and -22°F~140°F temperature range, the great outdoors never gets them down. Numerous mounting options are obtainable, including junction box and pole mountings, corner mounts, ceiling (flush) mounts, wall mounts, and a special order angle mount. Each of these cameras is able to view and record 3 Mega Pixel (MP) images containing
nine times the pixel detail compared to traditional analog images, and have resolutions up to 20FPS from 1/3” progressive scan CMOS sensor, and all support Safari/Chrome/FireFox/IE web browsers.
Recording and storage for these cameras are also state-of-the-art. Utilizing their broad On Screen Display (OSD) capabilities, control can come directly from Omni Internet Protocol (IP)
Network Video Recorder (NVR), presenting in-camera detection of motion, video loss as well as tampering, with an alarm reporting to the NVR. Network Video Recorders are what Megapixel/IP security cameras store or record to. With NVR’s, video input comes from the network where conversion of the digital video file format occurs, and is then streamed to the NVR for storage. Video can be viewed remotely because it is on a network; conversely, with a DVR, its location must be near the feed, since the encoding is done at the DVR itself. An additional benefit feature of an NVR versus a DVR, is that the NVR can be located anywhere on the network, which protects against network failure.
The Plug & Play NVR allows the installation and set-up of a surveillance system with high-definition IP cameras, without the need for networking knowledge or any additional hardware. Multiple cameras can be connected to the device’s camera ports, and the NVR does the rest! Its software can automatically detect and configures the network cameras, while an internal PoE switch provides power to each of them.
The Omni-IP NVR are available in a 4 channel and 16 channel configuration. The 4 channel (and likewise, the
16 channel for 16 IP cameras) can connect up to 4 IP cameras in any combination, and can record based on schedule, motion, event/alarm or combinations thereof. It can locate and review video by a search of date/time, can preview images by selecting along a color coded timeline of record type, and can play based on a wide-ranging event/alarm log search. Using the “Smart Search” feature, a specific area of interest can be defined. The NVR is able to quickly review recorded video and list instances of motion in that area for operator review.
KT&C presents multiple Plug & Play NVR’s to further performance of these Omni-IP cameras: The
KNR-P4PX4 4Channel Plug & Play, and comes in several hard drive configurations: NVR KNR-P4PX4/1TB, KNR-P4PX4/2TB, KNR-P4PX4/4TB, KNR-P4PX4/6TB and KNR-P4PX4/8TB.
