Delivering up to 150 frames per second, they include the unique, proprietary PGI feature set, an advanced, powerful in-camera image optimization, and improvement of images at the full speed of the camera. PGI feature set is a 2016 Innovators Award winner, and is an exceptional blend of 5x5 debayering (a variant of the Bayer Matrix and mathematical techniques), color-anti-aliasing (which allows the colors at the edge of pixels to bleed into one another, creating a sort of blurred effect), and de-noising (shape-adaptive noise reduction for color filter array image data) - all of which improve sharpness, and produce brilliant imaging.

The eight new Basler ace series cameras are available in color and monochrome, with four conforming to GigE (Gigabit Ethernet) Vision and four to USB3 Vision standards.

  • Featuring 2.3 Megapixel PYTHON 2000 CMOS sensor, models acA1920-150uc (color), acA1920-150um (mono) have a USB 3.0 Vision standard with 1920 pixels x 1200 pixels (p) resolution, and frame rate of 150 frames per second (fps) at 2.3 MP resolution
  • Models acA2500-60uc (color) and acA2500-60um (mono) are also USB 3.0 Vision standard, both have a resolution of 2590 p x 2048p and both have 5 MP resolution. Differences are, the acA2500-20gc delivers 21 fps, the acA2500-60um delivers 60 fps frame rate.
  • The acA1920-48gc (color) and aca1920-48gm (mono) are GigE Vision standard, and both deliver 50 fps at 2.3 MP resolution, with a resolution of 1920 p x 1200 p.
  • The final two new Basler GigE ace cameras, the acA2500-20gc (color) and the acA2500-20gm (mono), both have a resolution of 2590 p x 2048 p, and deliver 21 fps at 5 MP resolution.
The acA1920-150uc, acA1920-150um, are equipped with the ON Semiconductor PYTHON 2000, and are full High Dimension (HD), have fast sensor in WUXGA resolution(1920 p x 1200 p), while the acA2500-60uc, acA2500-60um, acA1920-48gc, acA1920-48gm, acA2500-20gc and acA2500-20gm models have the PYTHON 5000 sensor. However, both the PYTHON 2000 and PYTHON 5000 are designed to focus on performance, versatility and ease of use, resulting in a hardware scalable product grouping, where all sensors have the same data, control and optical interface. They have high configurability resulting in greater flexibility in sensor optimization for customer applications, higher frame rates to assist in image capturing capabilities, and high dynamic range to retain image detail in high-contrast applications.
