Pleora FCB Converters are installed directly into the camera assembly and will transform the Sony block camera into a GigE Vision® and GenICam™ compliant camera.  The Pleora iPort SB Pro engine and these standard interfaces allow for communication over a Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) link, where video and camera control is transmitted with a single cable. High-definition video is transmitted with low predictable latency. A GigE camera can support cable runs up to 100 meters; longer distances are attainable with a few modifications.

The marriage between a Pleora converter and the Sony cameras allow the Sony block cameras to become a player in networked video applications such as Dock Inspection, Machine Vision, Military Surveillance and Medical Imaging just to name a few.    The compatible Sony cameras are the FCB-H11, FCB-EX1020, FCB-EX985E and the FCB-EH6300.
