Aegis Electronic Group, Inc. will be stocking PixeLINK's new Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface as an option for all PL-B700 and PL-B900 series industrial cameras towards the end of January 2008. These megapixel monochrome and color industrial cameras are designed specifically for machine vision applications and are the newest addition to PixeLINK's line of CCD and CMOS industrial digital cameras.

The increased bandwidth of GigE at 1000 Mbps will allow for large uncompressed images to be transferred in real time over standard Cat5E network cables up to 100 meters long delivering outstanding image quality, excellent sensitivity and high-speed shuttering for crisp images of fast moving objects. The distance can be increased with the use of network equipment.

For OEM customers, PixeLINK believes the integration of imaging products with software should be a quick and painless endeavor. That's why our industry leading Software Developer's Kit (SDK) uses a common API for all of our cameras regardless of the customer's chosen interface. Software code developed for one camera model is easily transferred to other PixeLINK camera models saving time and money. This GigE interface can be used with software developed for the FireWire and USB cameras.
