PowerPack Microscopy Cameras-the Pulse and Ace series by Basler[/caption]
Divided into two individual models, the PowerPack Microscopy Pulse and PowerPack Microscopy Ace, each camera benefits from their own unique qualities.
All PowerPack Microscopy Pulse cameras have USB 2.0 backward compatibility for maximum system flexibility, high frame rates for smooth live viewing, fast focusing and sample screening. Optimized image enhancement and color adjustment algorithms for outstanding color reproduction and brilliant contrasts round out these camera's advanced powers. Not only are they cameras simple to operation, but being are
cost-efficient distinguishes them from the rest!
The Basler Microscopy Pulse cameras allow their trouble-free expertise to excel. Available in 1.2 MP, 2.0 MP, 3.3 MP and 5.0 MP, they have varied speeds from 54 frames per minute (fpm) with the Microscopy Pulse 1.2 MP model, to 30 fps for the Microscopy Pulse 2.0 MP, 20 fps for the Microscopy Pulse 3.3 MP, to 14 fps for the Microscopy Pulse 5.0 MP. Their sensor technology is also diverse: the 1.2 MP and 3.3 MP models have Aptina 1/3” CMOS sensors, the 2.0 MP has Aptina 1/3.7” and the 5.0 MP has a Aptina 12.5” sensor. The Pulse 1.2 model has a high performance, state-of-the-art global shutter CMOS sensor with a 1280 x 960 pixel resolution (3.75 x 3.75 pixel size), a 6mm active area and a dynamic range of 64 dB. However, the 2.0 MP, 3.3 MP and 5.0 MP models have rolling shutter CMOS technology, as well as 2.2 x 2.2 pixel size, a temporal dark noise of 6.4e and a dynamic range if 70.1 dB. Resolutions vary from 1280 x 960 for the 1.2 MP, 1920 x 1080 for the 2.0 MP, to 2048 x 1584 for the 2.3 MP, and 2592 x 1944 for the 5.0 MP. All Pulse models have manual and automatic exposure control, manual gain, a CS lens mount and are USB 3.0 compatible.
A bit larger than the two Microscopy Ace models –
but still minute - these four Microscopy Pulse cameras are 1.52” x 1.11” (38.8mm x 28.2 mm) and
weigh less than 2 ounces (60 grams).
Applications for these technologically advanced Basler Microscopy Ace and Pulse series cameras range from standard fluorescence and standard light microscopy to education, industrial, monitoring documentation and archiving to medical and life sciences. It is, however it is only the four Basler PowerPack Microscopy Ace cameras that are also able to tackle
advanced fluorescence as well.
The Basler PowerPack Microscopy Ace series is comprised of two color cameras that meet the most challenging of performance requirements. The Microscopy Ace 1.3 MP and the Microscopy Ace 2.3 MP are able to undertake diagnostics, forensics, medical and life sciences, all of these with unprecedented image quality, light quality, a high dynamic range of 73 dB, and quantum efficiencies over 70%. Aided by Sony's latest-generation IMX CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) sensors and global shutter technology, they have 5.86 µm x 5.86 µm pixel size (horizontal/vertical), and C-mount lens mount. Conforming to CE, RoHS, GenICam, UL, FCC and USB3 vision standards, they are able to operate with Windows 7 - 32 bit and 64 bit, Windows 8.1 - 32 bit and 64 bit, as well as Windows 10 - 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems. These cameras cannot be ordered separately from the PowerPack.
The Basler Microscopy Ace 1.3 MP Camera has a 1/8” Sony PREGIUS CMOS image sensor delivering 48 frames per second at 1.3 MP resolution, while the Basler Microscopy Ace 2.3 MP
cameras is equipped with a ½” Sony PREGIUS CMOS sensor delivering 82 frames per second at an accelerated 2.3 MP resolution. Both cameras have manual and automatic exposure control and manual gain, have low power consumption and allow for microscope camera adapters. The high frame rates allow the Basler Microscopy Ace cameras the capability for smooth live video previews, fast focusing and sample screening even at full resolution. With state-of-the-art image enhancement and color adjustment algorithms for exceptional color reproduction, these cameras produce precise and reliable true-to-life results. Their small size of 1.15” x 1.14” x 1.14” (29.3 x 29.0 x 29.0mm) and light weight 2.82 ounces (80 grams) allow these cameras to be true performance-driven microscopy cameras.
