This H.264 encoder
and decoder solution reinforces HD resolutions up to 2160p at 30 frames per second (4K Ultra HD). With the ability to successfully 4K encode and decode, the
Z3-HE4K-01 4K Ultra HD Video Encoder system utilizes a low 12V external power supply, less power than a PC (Personal Computer) based system. The HE4K-01 is additionally able to simultaneously stream one source in 4K
and 1080p30. This small video encoder is a compact 5.71 x 5.12 x 1.34 inches (145mm x 130mm x 34mm) in size, and a light 1.34 pounds (608 grams) for easy transportation to any application site.

Z3-HE4K-01 ultra HD video encoder contains a mighty 4K HDMI input/output, USB2.0, SATA2 and has Ethernet capability. It is an ultra-high definition, network-enabled software configurable media H.264 High Profile encoder or decoder up to 4K UHD.
It maintains SD/HD resolutions up to 4K UHD, including 3840 x 2160 at 30 frames per second, 1080p/i at 60 frames per second, 1080p and 720p60. Now available, this network-enabled system is a cost-effective 4K answer for industrial video, video distribution, digital signage, security and remote monitoring.
With 12 user-friendly operating controls, it is simple to capture video from a Sony Eagle FCB-ER8300 4K camera, and send this 4K video over HDMI to the
Z3-HE4K-01 encoder. Dual streams can be sent, one 2160p30 and one 1080p30, over a network to a decoding device made available for display. The 4K stream is then
decoded by an additional Z3-HE4K-01, and the 1080p30 stream is
decoded by a Z3-SME-01, an HD decoder. Decoding and encoding, both by means of the
Z3-HE4K-01 4K ultra HD video encoder.

With the ability to accept the application progress, it easily accepts innovative advancements in HMI (Human Machine Interface), industrial video applications and surveillance, machine vision, networking, digital signage, medical imaging, and can also be customized for detailed, specific applications.
Compact, the OEM module is just 3.03 x 2.80 inches (77 x 71 mm), and includes Texas Instruments latest Sitara™ AM572x multimedia processors, which present the state-of-the-art video compression. Thanks to its small size, the Z3-AM572X-RPS is straightforward in its integration into custom applications. The application board size 4.37 x 4.37 inches (111 x 111 mm), and employs the I/O expansion capability of the Z3-AM572x-MOD-0x to utilize added functions which are absent in the base module.
Comprised of a hardware package and a software bundle, the
Z3-AM572x-RPS was created to assist rapid product development, as well as a production quality sub-system. The hardware is comprised of one Z3-AM572x-MOD-0x system on module card, and one Z3-AM572x-APP-0x application (I/O) board. The processor is 1.5 GHz Dual ARM Cortex-A15's and Dual 750 MHz C66x DSP's with HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) video inputs and outputs. The hardware also has GigE, SATA2, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, PCIe, Micro SD, Mini-PCIe Card and Serial additional interfaces.
The software bundle contains the essential components to support the H.264 encode and decode up to 1080p60. Additionally, it supports HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) decode, also known as H.265, and can decode at resolutions up to 720p30, graphics, and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) applications. Ideal for industrial specific protocols for actual, real-time applications, and its flexible design is tailored towards reducing time-to-market and complete costs. The software development is provided by Texas Instruments® Single Processor SDK, Z³ Technology software components for SDK, Z³ applications, with a Linux 3.x (root file-system, NAND boot, tool chain and flash programming tool), u-boot operating system. Its output formats are RTP, RTMP and MPEG-2 TS, with RTP and MPEG-2 TS input formats.
The
Z3-AM572X-RPS Interface Board is complete and instantly operational and includes 1x Z3-AM572x-MOD-0x, 1x Z3-AM572x-APP-0x, pre-loaded production software, and documentation for encoding, decoding and streaming. Effortlessly controlled through RS-232 for serial communication transmission of data or an HTTP-based (HyperText Transfer Protocol) GUI (Graphical User Interface), the interface board contains real-time control and processing with quad core PRU (Programmable Real-Time Unit), an Industrial communication subsystem, and Mini-PCIe Card for easy WiFi, BT and 4G implementation.

HE-4K-DCK-10 Video Encoder
The Z3 Technology innovations continue with the development of the
HE4K-DCK-10 video encoder, and is founded on TI's DM8169 video processor.
Straightforwardly, the
HE4K-DCK-10 is a compact encoder system which was created to improve Sony’s 4K FCB-ER8300 Block Camera, and conveniently joins with the camera via a ribbon cable. The encoder’s boards include on-board interfaces including GigE, USB 2.0, RS-485, Microphone Input and Composite Out. Joining Sony’s block camera’s abilities with the HE4K-DCK-10, allows for a comprehensive, compact HEVC 4K video encoding answer.
