Canon’s 1.3 Megapixel (1280 x 960 pixel) CMOS sensor provides images with four times the detail of a VGA security camera and can support streaming at 30 frames per second with H.264 compression. The Canon 20x Optical Zoom Lens maximizes the camera’s low light performance to provide color video down to .03 Lux.  These features allow transmission of high-quality video images through the Internet or a LAN connection for remote monitoring.  This camera delivers the sharpest detail possible at all times. The built-in SD Memory Card saves back-up security logs while also allowing still images to be saved during network outages, improving reliability. This feature also allows still images to be saved during a network outage. This P/T/Z camera has built-in Administration Tools, requiring no installation and can be controlled through “Admin Viewer” in a web browser. Embedded in the VB-M40 are four video content analytic functions that can detect movement, as in-camera tampering, removed and abandoned objects and ambient sounds such as breaking glass.  These features make the VB-M40 suitable to be deployed in mid-to-high-end surveillance markets. The Canon VBM40 ships with RM Lite, Canon’s free network video and recording software (RM Lite provides Motion-JPEG at 5fps). This software allows recording from up to four cameras; perfect for small to medium-sized installation.
