TUSTIN, CA, USA - (HealthTech Wire / News) - For the second year in a row, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. was awarded a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Live Group Buy contract from Broadlane, a leading healthcare supply chain services company serving healthcare providers throughout the United States. This is the second modality in which Toshiba has achieved such success. In April, Toshiba was awarded a group contract for computed tomography (CT) for the second year in a row.
"Winning the MRI Live Group Buy contract for the second year in a row demonstrates the strength of our Vantage MRI technology," stated Doug Larm, vice president, Enterprise Business Group, Toshiba. "Using Toshiba's encompassing team approach, we coupled our technology with excellent service offerings to consistently meet and exceed Broadlane's expectations of overall value."
"We are excited that, for the second year in a row, Toshiba won Broadlane's MRI Live Group Buy," said Jeffery Woodyard, vice president, Supply Chain Services, Broadlane. "Instead of buying an MRI based on a sales promotion, our clients chose Toshiba because they decided Toshiba had the best technology and provided the best value."
Broadlane invites medical imaging vendors to present their technology and service highlights for capital equipment to Broadlane clients and participate in live negotiations over a three-day period. This process, called a "Live Group Buy," facilitates an objective process driven by weighted criteria which yields selection of the best medical equipment with the best price and terms for clients.
